Late 90's i was briefly in Jackson Hole & Colorado Springs, heard the same complaints from the locals there, people leaving CA. I'm sure it is worst today, CA is a liberal mess.

Thank you Ria, I just happened on this and feel the same. I remember when the Mall was built, Eagle Rd. was 2 lanes, my town "Meridian" was kind of far from Boise. I miss Cedar Inn on Franklin, they had the best cheeseburgers! Feed lot on Eagle/Fairview. Sooo many changes, growth is way too much. Traffic is gotten pretty bad. My kids are all grown now and struggling with high cost of living, pretty sad when natives to Idaho are struggling to live in their home state due to influx of new people driving up cost. I am unsure of why you have had people disagree with your truth. These people must be new to the state, or else "clueless" to the rapid change we have seen. If they are money hungry, well, there you go. I remember and love the old bumper sticker that came out when Andrus was our leader..."So, this is Idaho, now go home"...

Leaving California ASAP when I retire. Heading your way. Don’t worry... I know to vote Red to avoid the mess the democrats created in California where I was born and raised and would have loved to be able to raise my kids!

I have been born and raised in California and I feel like I am being "run out". We Californians feel just like you do and the last time I checked we all have the freedom to move around. Maybe Idaho should stop taking in students from other states. Idaho is a beautiful state and I respect their values, I also wanted my state to stay the way it used to be.
