The majority of the year, the area is true to its name---Pleasant. However, summers are extremely hot. From June to mid-September, the range is in the 90's, with at least three weeks in August in the 100's. But, just a few minutes' drive over the hills, and the temp. drops about 20 degrees, with a wonderful breeze from the ocean.
