Quality of life? What's that?

I have lived in California all my life and while I've visited other states I never had the desire to leave until now. I have 2 small daughters and live in a very upscale neighborhood in Anaheim Hills. I'm leaving before they become self centered and materialistic like the rest of this county. I could afford to stay but the lifestyle I want to live will always cause me to have to hustle and work more than one job. There are so many better places where you can get more for your money. We are moving to Austin, TX and we have a condo on the beach in San Diego for the summers. We can retire out there and actually live a good life. I'm out.
