Review of Oro Vall,

Oro Valley is so much less than advertised
Star Rating - 9/22/2013
Some of these reviews are so inaccurate. Rentals for a 2-bedroom are closer to $1000/mo and up if you want to live in a safer neighborhood. People here are so intolerant and unfriendly. The climate is really nice but the people make it a really unpleasant place to live. I know many couples who are moving back to cold climates because they are so unhappy in Oro Valley. The quality of housing is poor... ostentatious layouts but poor quality construction, not designed for the climate. Licensed contractors are also untrained and dishonest... the licensing procedure does not include a proficiency test. Shockingly provincial. You will end up buying everything on the internet if you move here.

Hey hey hey, hold on just a minute. I live here and, at the tender age of 35, get to meet all variety of grey-haired, mostly Caucasian friends. Yes, large elderly population, but very kind, peaceful, and you know, normal. Maybe if you have had a past negative experience with people, it could cloud current day life. I just know people are awes9e, they take care of themselves and others. Some major perks of OV: Gorgeous Mountain View’s, manicured landscapes, COOLER climate (towards Catalina and Saddlebrooke), shopping of all kinds, Catalina national park to hike on and go swimming at Romero pools, oV aquatic center, horse riding ($), HUGE “loop” takes all day+on bike, lots of athletic minded people, Farmers Market on Saturday at steamy pump ranch, MANy MANY fun different parks for my 2 year old, the list goes on. But crime is half of what crime is in vail (both property and violent) so yes, maybe you meet a fe old grumpy men (or women) but you’re going to be safe. We r closer to the Phoenix lakes (saguaro, canyon, and Apache) close to Zip Line just north of Saddlebrooke....great place
