Review of Clawson, Michigan

Something for Everyone
Star Rating - 3/8/2008
Clawson is centrally located in the northern suburbs of Detroit.

For those who like being outdoors, there are dozens of county and metro parks within a twenty-five minute drive, with hiking trails, fresh-water beeches, group picnic areas and children's play areas. Many parks have boat launches and some rent canoes and other boats. Southeast Michigan has three downhill ski areas, and six hours away are several larger facilities, including Boyne Mountain.

For going out on the town, Detroit's restaurants, professional sports stadiums, casinos, museums and bars are only twenty to thirty minutes away. Even closer are Royal Oak, Birmingham and Ferndale, known for their restaurants and night spots.

Clawson has a slightly lower cost of living than the surrounding cities, but offers easy access to all the same amenities.
