Hi, I've lived in Homestead, Florida since 1993, and the only comment of the prior writer that I agree with is: That Homestead is rampant with groups of reckless, thuggish, illegally on the road, ATV, two wheel dirt bikes, and mini-bike riders, who are driving around here like packs of thugs/gangs on illegal bikes, at different hours of the day and night, disturbing your quiet time, and night sleep. These thuggish riders be speeding, some be popping wheelies, racing with one another, passing cars while speeding profusely, irritating other drivers with their reckless, sinister driving, and when you call the police, the dispatchers put the call out as a BOLO (Be On The Lookout), so, the Police don't respond, if they do respond, which is rarely, they do a drive-by, like ten - twenty minutes later, and, the Homestead Police dept., and the Miami-Dade Police dept., do not challenge these reckless, thuggish gangs of illegal bikers, the police, also, do not give tickets to the illegal, reckless, 4 wheel ATV's, two wheel dirt bikes, or to the mini-bike gangs, who have taken over the streets and neighborhoods here, with no Police enforcement at all, the latter, and because of the humongous building up of houses, growing thuggish population moving into Homestead, quality of living has went into the sewer pipe, are why I'm moving out of Homestead to a small, peaceful town. The Redlands are the best area to live, it's rural and there's practically not much of an ATV, dirt bike riders who live in the Redlands, because the Redlands are a higher class, rural, farming neighborhood area. The good things about Homestead are the Redlands rural area, there's a lot of restaurants, two Walmarts, a Supercenter Walmart and a neighborhood, grocery store Walmart, doctors offices, dental, vision businesses, a new movie theater is open, they're all nearby, and, Miami nightlife, restaurants, festivals, malls are about a 25 minute drive away, but, who needs the latter amenities, if, your quality of life is deteriorating on a daily basis, at, practically random hours of the day and night by the noisy, unlawful, thuggish group of illegal ATV, dirt bike and mini-bike riders who the police here do nothing about, because their supervisors order their line staff police not to chase the illegal bike riders, but, when the illegal bike riders are at the gas station filling up, the police drive by and don't challenge the illegal riders while they're gassing up, and give them tickets and have their bikes towed, and check to see if the thuggish, illegal riders have criminal warrants, but, if a police officer see that you don't make a full, complete stop behind the stop sign, you will get a ticket, but, when the illegal thuggish ATV, dirt bike and mini-bike riders eat the stop signs, the police continue driving and allow the thuggish group of ATV riders and their sidekicks to break the law, so, there's a daily increase of these thuggish, gang type of groups of ATV'S, dirt bikes and mini-bikes on the road, racing, speeding & running stop signs with no repercussions on them, yet, the law abiding citizens will get stopped and ticketed by police over petty nonsense stuff. They need to do their jobs and go after the thuggish, gang of ATV, dirt bike and mini-bike riders. Boy, has the quality of life and peace and quiet of Homestead went down the sewer pipe, thanks to the Homestead and Miami police department (supervisors) who fret on their line staff police enforcing the quality of life, laws on the illegal, thuggish, ATV, dirt bike and mini-bike groups of riders in the areas. I want out of Homestead, like yesterday.
