"Up and Coming" Condon

I live in Condon but own a home in Condon. It's a cute town with many historic buildings lining the Main St. Several buildings have been restored with an additional two currently going through restoration. The area around Condon is beautiful with interesting sites nearby. The people are welcoming, friendly and very helpful! The 8,000 + acre Murtha Ranch along the John Day River was recently purchased by the Western Rivers Conservancy. The ecosystem will be restored to sustain a herd of big horn sheep among other things and the area is now open for hikers. The Oregon Parks and Rec. Dept has expressed interest in the property as a future state park.
