Crime is rampant and the District Attorney is lazy

You can be the victim of a violent crime here and the police and the DA don't give a damn. If youre cousins...and EVERYBODY is cousins, then they'll cover your ass even if you committed a serious crime. The DA can't finish reading a police report, and once that is pointed out to him, he'll denied it and go out of his way to prove that he can do anything because he has nobody to answer to.
The people are mean, the weather is HORRIBLE, the DA is an idiot and a drunk, there are no stores, biggest mistake I ever made was moving here. Save yourself. Don't even come for a visit, but if you do...please take me with you when you leave.

Baker City has a lazy police force, a hospital that only treats you if you have a hangnail - otherwise they ship you off to Boise, 2 grocery stores owned by the same company, no other places to shop for a bra or a decent pair of shoes except "Fall Apaprt Bi-Mart", less than 25% of the population has ever gone to college, a poverty rate of over 15% of the population, way too many red necks ... in other words, it hasn't changed in 10 years.
