If you love the rain then Ketchikan is for you! Although we are one of the wettest places on the planet, we also have many clear and beautiful sunny days. The summer weather is so nice that we don't have air conditioning and we can always leave our windows open. When it rains a lot there are waterfalls all over the island. In the winter it snows frequently, but it melts so quickly it doesn't accumulate. The roads can be a little hazardous in the winter due to the abundant steep hills in Ketchikan.
