Dying Town

Bonifay unfortunately is a dying town. You drive down bonifay and all you see is empty and dilapidated buildings. Most businesses have closed down and people have moved on. We are a small town with mostly nice folks, but it's very difficult to live here. No jobs, cost of living is marginal but with no work you have to travel to different towns to even make a living. There are no real activities here for children besides the rodeo and a few parks. I was born and raised here. Lived here for 36 years and I'm ready to get out!! Theres nothing here and the way things are going and how our town wont allow any real businesses to come here, it looks like a very dim and bleak future for bonifay. Coming from a life long resident!!
