nice town

Ive lived in the area for 15 years. It has grown tremendously during that time. It is mostly a bedroom community for Charlotte. However, it has a very distinct downtown with beautiful homes and historic areas. The school system is above average. 3 new high schools have opened over the past 10 years. The Northwest part of the county tends to get the greatest acclaim regarding living and schools. Afton Village is a newer "mixed-use" development with charming homes and shops and restaurants locals walk to. Overall Concord is a nice place to live. The biggest challenges in the future will be road congestion and school over-crowding.
