Review of Irmo, South Carolina

A hidden gem in an up and coming state.
Star Rating - 2/8/2019
I grew up in near Annapolis MD but lived in both Savannah and Atlanta GA for twenty years. Moved to Columbia in 2009 working in IT for SC Dept of Education. Had an apartment near Harbison, later buying a house in Irmo. From day one I was stunned at the laid back pace and the genuine almost innocent culture of this wonderful place. Being both the state capital and home to USC, it is small but very educated. Irmo has a blend of hidden sophistication, fearce independence, serious family values and warmth. I pray that it will never be 'discovered'.
