Review of Irmo, South Carolina

Star Rating - 10/17/2009
Irmo is an awesome place to live rather or not you are single or have a family. The school district (Lexington/Richland School Dist. 5) is really good. There is really no need to even consider private school. Lake Murray is beautiful and if you don't have a boat you can join the Lake Murray Boat Club and enjoy a day on the lake. Shopping on Harbison Blvd. is a must. There are also a lot of great places to eat. If you like country living but don't want to be too far from the city, I would recommend living in the Ballentine area or in Irmo on the Dutch Fork side. Downtown Columbia is about 15 to 20 minutes away and there are great shops and bars there. And of course I have to mention The USC Gamecocks football games. The tailgating before the game is an awesome time to network and meet new friends even if you didn't attend college there. This is an overall friendly area where the residents are not too hard to please. We are really glad that we moved here.
