Review of Richmond, Michigan

City of Richmond Michigan
Star Rating - 3/6/2007
The City of Richmond is surrounded by the much larger rural area of Richmond Township. It has very beautiful old buildings and a two mile long main street.
The schools are excellent and city services are very good, including an
annual 4 day "good old days" celebration the second week of Sept. The
population of about 7000+ persons. The city has a mix of 30,50 and 100 year old homes, and 3 new subdivisions with very reasonable priced medium and large sized homes. The city has 3 new car dealerships and a 4th one just
outside of the city, so you don't have to go far to buy a car. Property taxes
are high but the crime rate is low. We have one large supermarket and
and a KMart Department Store, with many other big stores within 8 miles away.
Richmond is a very nice city to live in, but of course this is Michigan
and the weather gets very cold in winter, but the summers are usually
pretty nice.
