Davis is a Green Oasis

We owned a home in Davis for 10 years. There are so many good things about the town. The downtown area has many unique shops and restaurants. The Arboretum walking trail is one of my favorite places. The city has excellent planning and enforces building codes whenever a home is sold. It is an excellent place to raise children, with many parks, bike lanes, and excellent schools. Davis is a green oasis wedged between Vacaville and Sacramento. The only negatives that I found were 1) hay fever allergies, aided by the wind and the voluminous pollen (because of all of the beautiful, old trees), and 2) the roaches, or as the locals prefer to call them, the “water beetles” and 3) the water is not ideal. Most locals buy drinking water from the Co-Op.
