Contrary to your web page, there are no physicians practicing medicine in Hartshorn. The Nearest Clinic is in Summersville, 7 miles south. St. Johns has a clinic with a nurse practitioner, and Texas County Memorial Hospital has a satellite clinic with a doctor. Summersville also has the closest ambulance bay, and volunteer fire dept. Our area is also serviced by "Life Flight" helicopter ambulance service. There is a St. Francis Hospital 22 miles to the south in Mountain View, and Texas County Memorial Hospital is in Houston 30 miles to the west. Mountain View and Houston have numerous clinics and physicians. Mountain View has the "Good Samaritan Clinic" a free clinic for those without insurance.
