Review of Wesley Chapel, Florida

Population Estimate, 2013
Star Rating - 10/28/2014
Your 2013 estimate of 43,559 is way low. Wesley Chapel grew from under 6,000 people in the 2000 U.S. Census to 44,092 in the 2010 census -- an astounding 670% growth during the decade. Houses and apartments are still being built all over Wesley Chapel. It's inconceivable that the population of Wesley Chapel has dropped since 2013! Wesley Chapel is a Census Designated Place (CDP) with no town government of its own. Police, school system, etc. are all part of Pasco County Government. Because of this, there is no official population estimate for Wesley Chapel in the US Census 2013 population estimates for Florida shown on other websites, even with many hundreds of smaller towns listed. Do any readers have other estimates for 2013 or 2014?

Hi David, You're absolutely correct about the population of Wesley Chapel, Florida. We've been frustrated in our efforts to get the latest population figures for special places like Wesley Chapel, which have fallen between the cracks in reporting the latest demographic data. We may have to build our own set of data based on compiling the demographic block groups which comprise the place, if we can get reliable GIS boundary files. Thanks for the your email. Best, Bert Sperling
