Review of Pueblo, Colorado

Help me decide on Pueblo, Co
Star Rating - 4/14/2015
I am looking to relocate due to a job offer and have narrowed my search of cities down to Pueblo. I am curious on how the cost of living is in Pueblo? coming from California which is ridiculously high, i am looking for a new place to start a family. i was interested in Colorado Springs but it seemed to be a bit on the expensive side. we are a mixed race family (white/Mexican) in our late 20's so is pueblo a pretty welcoming city? and is it pretty safe as far as crime rates go? is the surrounding job market promising?

It is not safe here and there is no job market, unless, of course, you plan to live on welfare and your financial aid checks. If you drive by Central High right as school is starting, you'll see the kids toking up on the lawn before they go to class. If that's what you want for your family, start packing. Come talk to me about buying my place, 'cuz I'm heading East.

the public schools in pueblo are in their final few months of sanction before the state has to step in. If you plan on homeschooling, this wont impact you. However there are over 40 gangs in pueblo, and a heroin epidemic this will impact you.

Hi Ashley. I live in Pueblo, Colorado and have been here for over 30 yrs. Coming from New Mexico this town is perfect for a couple starting out. People here are great. Cost of living is very reasonable. If you are wanting to work in Colorado Springs it is only 45 minute drive or all the correctional facilities are in Canon City and they are about 1 hour drive maybe less. We have a home for sale in Pueblo, Colorado that has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. It is 1850 square foot and the basement is also 1850 square ft. It sits on ,83 acres so not quite a full acre. Very nice and quiet neigborhood and perfect for a family starting out. Basement is partially finishedI t's a beautiful custom home but we need to downsize since it is only my husband and I and it's a bit to big for us since our kids moved out. If you are interested please e-mail me @ losgonzalas@hotmail.com.
