How many people who live here came from what islands, however with average household income over 65 K Miramar can't be that bad.

Extremely disappointed in this area. Moved here three years ago based on information that it was a safe, upscale, friendly area with good shopping/restaurants, cultural events and parks/recreational amenities. Cultural events are very ethnocentric and do not offer variety of entertainment from any region other than the Caribbean or Hispanic countries. Schools have been disappointing so factor in the cost of private education if considering Miramar. Mediocre restaurants - closest high quality eateries are in Ft. Lauderdale, Coral Gables so an hour commute at best. Happy that we will be relocating to the Gulf side (Tampa/St. Petersburg) in the near future!

This is so true! I’ve lived here for 14 years and let me tell you... the way Miramar has changed has me baffled. It used to be a classy place not any more!

Miramar is a great place. There's a mix of people from all over. I can't see any one place where one group is dominate over another.
