We just moved from another state and the realtors who showed us around told us to beware of Pennsylvania/Berks County folks..."they're not very friendly and hard to get to know." We found that to be true, expecially the kids at the schools (no manners taught) Also, there are 2 local gun clubs and we listen to gunfire everyday of the week. There are 2 landfills nearby and the air quality is terrible, especially at night. All of this adds up to a bad return on your investment if you choose to buy a home in the area. Steer clear.
