My neighbors are good, decent people. There are a few people that I worked with, though, who were not. This is a very clannish place. The first question you're asked is what church do you attend and the next question is who are you related to? Negative answers can bring cold shoulders quickly!
I'm not sure if "no comment" is the better answer; nothing to resent you for then.
