You should concentrate on Port Orange or Ormond Beach. Nice neighborhoods and good schools. Stay away from Holly Hill, most of South Daytona, and Daytona Beach itself. Ponce Inlet is the best part of this area, but is very pricey and not convenient to stores, schools, etc. There are many apartment complexes in both Ormond and Port Orange as well as single family homes for rent. Plan on at least $1,200 a month for something good.
