Review of Sierra City, California

Our Paradise.Yet beware of our town's HarrietOlson
Star Rating - 4/15/2019
Step back in time to a slower, peaceful way of being. The current population is estimated at 120 individuals, mostly retired. There is an abundance of volunteer & recreational opportunities. Step out your front door to an array of Lakes & Rivers., the infamous PCT Trail, the Buttes and more. Snow-mobiling, gold mining, hiking, fishing, swimming you name it. Sierra City has it. Top Notch restaurants, B&B's, Resorts, along with an amazing grocery store and one gas station. Major employers are: Sierra County & Caltrans. An array of Seasonal jobs also

Lest each town has its own Harriet Olson, ours is 100x more venomous. She is a 62-63 yr old woman named Nora Prince. She spews lies about others and is by far, the most divisive individual in our town. She's known for being controversial and confrontational. Her claim to fame, she repeatedly obsesses upon, is being an ex- deputy. Sierra Counties biggest mistake was hiring her decades back.
She spews her venom all over town. Her disdain encompasses making up vicious lies about good folks. Namely the Mtn Messenger staff, Tim Beals, Davey Family, a local bar & bike shop owner, her close "friend" Cheri Simi, Sandra Groven, Michelle Anderson, Marty Creel, and various members of law enforcement.
A search of Nora Prince at the Sierra Prospect website should yield a result or two though they are very patient with her antics. Her main activity is controlling the local SHOE hiking group. Who is invited to activities, where they begin, etc.

I've been fortunate to call this area home for decades. You'll do just fine if you take heed of our town's Harriet Olson a.k.a, Nora Prince.
