Review of Rochester, New York

if you do not like seeing the sun you will love it

I lived in Rochester for 10 years. It is like going to a frozen wasteland. To imagine living there and to simulate the conditions crawl into your freezer and close the door for 9 months. The biggest event is a flower festival - the Lilac Festival - it will remind of retirement home. The most exciting thing to do on a Friday is to hang out at the Wegmans grocery store.

I have lived in Rochester most of my life. I have traveled up and down the East coast and although I have find nice little areas I think Rochester has potential. We do have night clubs and bars where you can here local talent or get up and do karaoke. Our food is awesome if you didn't go to Sodam for some great Korean food you missed out and we have some good Chinese restaurants in the area as well. Also how can you live without our country sweet sauce it makes everything taste so much better. A steak sub isn't the same without it. We have more than just the lilac festival, we also have the jazz festival, Greek festival Puerto Rican festival, Jamaican festival and many more. there are parades and the city is always doing something fun for the community like ice skating parties or out door events that have local talent and good food and fun for the kids. We have a tum of restaurants and bakeries and little mom and pop shops. You were here for 10 years did you take the time to explore all the things Rochester has to offer. While sometimes it seem we only have two seasons winter and a summer that happens so fast that if you blink you might miss it. But we have big malls, paintball, bowling, Dave and Busters, go carts, skyzone and other fun things to do. During the winter there is ice skating, sledding. skiing, or hot chocolate and netflix and chill. Nothing wrong with that. Our movie theaters are nice night out too. If you didn't get a chance to hit Lugias during the summer you missed out on some good cheap ice cream where they have everything from banana cream pie or blackberry Oregon cheesecake flavors or fired oreos or ice cream cupcakes. The lines are always long. If you have to come back I invite you to do a little more exploring you might find that there was more to our little city than just a long cold winter.
