The last time I took my family vacationing in Homestead, FL, I thought I drove too far and ended up in Cuba because I didn't see any Caucasian Americans and everyone spoke a different language. I think it was some sort of Spanish language. The only Caucasian I saw walking around were only tourist from a European country because even they didn't speak English either. People in Homestead are not Americans and they were rude to the point where they just want to shoot you. We were waiting at a electronics counter at a Walmart in Homestead and no employees offer us any help. We were looking around like we were lost and the employees were talking to each other and some pretending to act busy just to avoid us. Rude country Homestead is.

That’s because you probably looked like a morron that cant ask for assistance and i am offended yes because your racist self is speaking down on Cubans, you my friend are sad and def not worth a bullet nor the trouble. Learn life along with all the other complete sad loners that talk crap and in reality are nothing buts racist a-holes. Where you live there will be rude or mannered people of all colors and race including yours (yesss yours) so quit being a low life racist and respect so that you can see how latinos will treat you then. Homestead and others areas in miami will have the same bad areas with crime rates but not all areas in homestead are bad i work often in new home projects, i live in a amazing area in Kendall, i make sufficient cash a year and own my home i am also Cuban and give nothing but love and respect to all and receive nothing but excellent vibes in return. Good luck

I grew up traveling all over the world so being around non-english speaking people doesn't bother me. What bothers me is when you take no pride in the little bit you have and do nothing to take care of it, when you don't raise your children to have respect, and when you would rather sit on your lazy bum than work a job. Sadly, Homestead is full of people who just don't care and seek nothing better for themselves. It shows everywhere. If you want to live in trash and filth, move to Homestead.

He is not speaking down on Cubans, he is telling the truth. i myself have experienced the same thing. When i first moved to Florida Homestead was a place i was considering due to its location for work, but after my fisrt visit the decition was clear, who wants to live in a place where no one speaks freaking english and you have to worry about getting shot getting gas. I am not Cuban but i am of hispanic decent and i for one agree that when you live in this country you learn to speak english, especially during work or cinducting bussiness. My advice to anyone planning to move to Florida Stay away from Homestead and or especially Miami

It can be scary to be in a place where people don't speak your language or share your customs. I'm sorry that they were rude to you and that they didn't pay attention to you. I live in Homestead and people can grow up in a sad environment, which can ultimately leave them angry and depressed. I try to keep a positive attitude about my town, because I truly believe that people can be kinder if they experience kindness themselves. I hope their turbulent hearts will find peace and joy. Secondly, I'm Puertorican and I promise that just because we look or sound different doesn't mean that we're not American. If a person commits a crime, I would say that is what disqualifies them from being a true American. I'm not trying to judge you or to be mean. I love all people and I think that we all just need a little more Jesus. :) However I will say that if you try to be more positive and understanding, life isn't so bleak and even Homestead (which I agree is an unsafe and hostile town) doesn't seem so bad. I hope I haven't offended you, and I wish you all the peace and joy in the world! Honestly ??
