Seattle is a close second to Chicago! Run into the ground by the socialist Democratic Party. Seattle has become the home of the drug addicts, homeless encampment and gang violence. We are moving to Arizona in the spring. If you value your safety as well as that of your family I would recommend a pass on Seattle. Lastly, Seattle has become the 6th most expensive city in the US. Those who have jobs help pay for the criminals running our city.

Complaining about "socialism" with the same breath as decrying public services when Seattle is home to two of the wealthiest people on the planet is as stupid as it sounds. Good luck living in Arizona when it runs out of water.

Honestly I understand where you are coming from but I would run from Phoenix, Arizona. So many Democrats from California have moved here in the past year that Arizona voted blue in the election, everything here seems more off as time passes. Arizona will turn Democratic soon enough, thing are going down the wrong path, we are moving to Texas or Florida. I would suggest getting out of the west coast.

I disagree. Seattle area takes care of all of Easter Washington, Idaho, and Montana's homeless people because they don't. Seattle people give the most money to homeless causes and crime rates keep falling since the 1980's. Republican conservatives keep slashing homeless budgets elsewhere... including Arizona where you are going. Phoenix, Arizona actually has a higher violent crime rate than Seattle. Phoenix even has triple the murder rate as Seattle.

If housing and rent prices are rising, then that is often a reflection of demand (higher demand) which would mean that people want to move/live there. People who have jobs pay for criminals to run the city? Is this a factual statement? This post seems more like an opinion piece that is heavily subjective and non-factual regarding root causes of the high cost of living.

I hate to tell you this, but the Democratic party is actually a center right party with just a handful of progressives in it. That is why I'm an Independent now. There is no "left" major party. By the way, I moved from Phoenix, AZ where I grew up and I'm glad I did. You didn't say where in AZ you're going to, but don't be surprised if it doesn't meet your needs.

At this moment, I see that we have 379 democrats who believe Jackson street is a great place to take their children for an evening stroll to watch the beautiful city lights. A family affair. :)
