Carmichael, a suburb of Sacramento, has the typical mild winters with moderate rainfall. temperatures seldom reaching below 30F nor above 90 most of the year. in August-September, however, it can regularly top 100. Air quality has become more of an issue in the last few years, as has the increase in criminal activity and the large numbers of homeless persons trying to survive on the local streets and along the American and Sacramento Rivers.
