Review of Kingston, Washington

Quaint beautiful little seaside town close to Seat
Star Rating - 2/22/2012
My wife, 3 boys and I moved here at the beginning of 2011. Kingston is very quiet, has friendly neighbors, reasonable home prices, nice farmers market, good schools, and has amazing natural views. We also enjoy its proximty to Seattle and take advantage of being close (hiking, fishing, camping, day trips) to the Olympic Penninsula. It's a nice getaway from the busy Seattle area. If you work in Seattle there are many different ways to commute. Some take the Kingston ferry to Edmonds and either vanpool, bus, or take the Sounder train to Seattle. We live about 5 minutes from the ferry and my morning commute is a little over an hour. The afternoon commute takes a little longer. There is also a 45 minute walk-on ferry to Seattle called the soundrunner. We're very happy that we decided to move here.
