Review of Grand Forks, North Dakota

The Grand Adventure
Star Rating - 4/8/2017
I am a black male and recently moved to the area do to a job offer. For the most part the people are friendly. However if you are black be prepared to give an explanation of why you are their. The town is very conservative and non diverse, so get used to crappy food chain restaurants and the occasional stare from the locals. Winters here are brutal and you are expected to go to work despite -50 weather. Pros about the place are you can leave the keys in your car with nothing happening. You can also experience Winnipeg if you are into bad roads and polar bears at the zoo. Overall it is a different experience and a tale to tell your grand kids when you get old. Just dont stay here for too long a year at the most.
