Golf cars abound

Great community except that the town council and police permit golf cars to be driven on the public roadways. Speed limit around town is 35mph. Golf cars have max speed of 15mph, it’s an accident waiting to happen. Many golf cars are driven by underage unlicensed kids ‘cause riding a bicycle anyone is “not cool” when you can load up six friends on your parents golf cart and cruise the town. Majority of golf car’s are used to transport people from home to country club, or home to home. People forget that a golf car is a motor vehicle and must be operated responsibly.
Aside from the golf car issue, it’s a great community to live in. Near downtown New Bern, easily accessible to the commercial centers, restaurants and medical community, Trent Woods is near it all.
