Review of Palmer Lake, Colorado

Oasis Between Metro Areas
Star Rating - 12/1/2007
Palmer Lake is nestled against the mountains, just north of the United States Air Force Academy between Colorado Springs and Denver. With a population of less than 1500 people, it's a haven for professionals with families and artists who work from home. The Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts provides many opportunities for culture and music, and the Palmer Lake star is legendary for its display during the holiday season every year. There are many bistros and upscale restaurants as well. Housing is varied, from historic mansions to small cabins to brand new million dollar homes. The school district is one of the best in the state of Colorado. Being over 7,000 feet in elevation, snow is abundant, and the summers are cool. Crime is almost non-existent.
