We have cold winters but great summers and we have been here about 7 years and I have great neighbors. Decent churches. Water is rusty but that is Michigan for you. Don't have a comment on the social life their is much to do with mega yard sales everywhere, and you always find great deal and everyone is friendly, We do not have road rage here not like the west coast. But the winter salts on the roads destroy all the vehicles, this is a main problem 2 years and your vehicle's will look like a rust bucket. We plan to move from the state as the winters and the road salts don't make this trip worth it. When you are tight budget then Michigan can drown you financially, and auto Insurance is the highest in the nation. We made great friends along the way but unless we have a miraculous invention we are forced to sell. Friends can never be measured.
