Review of Raleigh, North Carolina

worst place to live ever
Star Rating - 12/8/2013
My husabnd and I moved here 4 months ago, we had a silly idea that it would be nice to live in teh south and my husabnd thought everyone would be friendly and nice, it would be laid back and less stress. It is not friendly and not nice at all, once you open your mouth and say just hello, they say " your not from here" and it goes down hill fast. They dont smile or say thank you even after a purchase barely ring you up, but they want that dollar in your hand!, so they tolerate you enough to get that money. The first question is " what church do you go to?" because if your not in their church, they wont even smile or talk to you! the people in stores are just as bad, they wont even say have a good day or thanks for shopping, I cannot tell you how mnay times we have smiled and tried to talk to teh cashier ina store only to be looked at like dirt on their shoes and tossed our bag. I went to a job fair and it was horrible, people were borderline rude, my husabnd was amazed, he couldnt believe how unprofessional they behaved!. I am glad we dont have children , I would never want them exposed to the kind of ignorance that is pervasive here. The schools must be a joke, I ahve met more people who can barely read and write then I tohught was still around. They want your money and thats it. They claim to be relisgious but they are the most prejudiced I have ever seen, I have lived in the midwest and the east coast and honestly I would live anywhere to get out of here, we have stopped trying to make friends and just look to get out, be careful if you move here, its not what it looks like, and the politics is horrible not friendly to women and does not care about education. the new tax law favors singles that make over 250,000, look into taxs before you move here and better check your church see if it makes the grade.I would not reccomend my worst enemy to move here.
