Bishop is what you make. It is a small town and we like it that way. Although we depend on tourism to keep our town alive, we don’t have a lot of respect for LA coming up here and trashing our beautiful forest. So if you’re one of those people please stay home. I’ve been here 14 years and yes things have changed but what I have found is that if you are friendly, you’ll get friendly back. Sadly, meth has become a problem here just like the rest of the country but I attribute that to some of those outside influences I mentioned earlier. When I retire, I’ll be leaving here but not because of Bishop, it’s because the state of California is poorly run by liberals.
