Review of Sherman, Texas

A Wonderful Place to Live
Star Rating - 8/28/2008
Sherman is one of the nicest cities in the U.S. First, the population and the business climate is exploding, with new hotels, a convention center and 7 new banks in the last year! Together with Denison, these twin-cities offer real Southern hospitality and love for one another. Crime is almost non-existant and there's a Baptist church and Little League field on every corner. What's not to love? I'm from the NE and I'll never move!

I'm looking to move from the St. Louis, Mo metro east area, and find a better place to raise my kids. I'm actually from Granite City, IL. and Sherman is comparable as far as size and economy seems to go. I'm used to making around 45K a year driving truck local and paying close to 700. for a two (actually 3 bdrm. if you count the basement) apartment. Do you think I could do the same in Sherman? Your opinion, advice would be greatly appreciated.
