Plainview is just how the name implies: plain view. The town is perfect for those of non color looking to establish themselves in a 'good ol boy/girl' way of life. With more churches per capital, so it seems, one would assume this hole in the wall town would be an ideal place to raise your family. And it is. If you're white. All others run, dont walk, run away and dont look black. Oops, back. Don't look back. Schools are so-so. University is top notch but the San Antonio campus is the bread winner. Police dept is corrupt as they come. The DA has more DWIs than any DA should and yet he's still there. Ah, good ol boy. Yup, Plain view is one place where the view is best left unseen.
