Review of Maypearl, Texas

Maypearl - quiet little town
Star Rating - 10/22/2008
Maypearl is a very small and quiet little town just west of Waxahachie, TX. Our population sign just outside of town says 745. However, as of 2008, we have over 1000 children in our school district. There are only about 10 streets in town, no red lights and few stop signs. You can reach one end of main street to the other in less than one minute at a speed limit of 25 mph. We have a nice new grocery store that also provides gasoline, a quick stop convenience store/fuel stop, 2 banks, post office, several churches, park/sports complex, fire department, city hall, chamber of commerce, police department, laundry, wonderful school district supporting K-12 grades with brand new elementary school, ag building, almost new intermediate building, jr. high and high school (class 2-A). We also have a beauty shop, new fitness center, long-time resident cafe, pizza eatery, donut/sandwich deli, and a few other small business of various types up and down main street. There is virtually no room to build new homes inside the town area so most new homes are being built just outside of town but within our school district. The people are very friendly! There is a mixed bowl of age groups in our little town, but all total, just a wonderful place to live if you like small communities. It's so quiet that it's hard to believe you're not actually living out in the quietness of the countryside. There is much more to us than this review but you will just have to come and visit Maypearl to appreciate it.
