On the surface, Natchitoches seems like a pretty town. The history of the city is quite interesting. But if you are thinking of moving here, don't do it! I've lived here for most of my life (28 years) and am finally looking to move. If you like ghetto and rednecks, this is the place for you! The schools are terrible! There is only one high school where the kids are treated like inmates because there are so many bad kids. my kids hated their high school years which is just sad. There are acres and acres of housing projects here. And there is absolutely nothing to do here. If you have kids they will hate it.
