Hawthorne as a place to live.

I lived there. Hawthorne is a ___hole. Crime, Drugs, Unemployment near 12% and, they can pay the police enough to stay and deal with all the crap! It has to be one of the worst places in and around LA to live.
An employer would have to offer you a salary of 400K just to consider living there. Why? First you would have to hire your own body guards. Second the taxes will kill you and third, you would be a mark for every cartel wannabe since you were doing better than the rest of the masses. Forget Hawthorne or even California for that matter if you were considering. Nothing is worth the aggravation you'd experience.
