More than bedroom community, but just barely

Cabot is a bedroom community of Little Rock, but also a bedroom community to LRAFB and a service and businesses community for all the smaller surrounding towns. So while it is close to Little Rock and many people commute to Little Rock, it is not Little Rock. Being a bedroom community you don't have the high crime of Little Rock and North Little Rock.
So what makes Cabot more than just a bedroom community of Little Rock? Because it has it's own satellite communities like Austin and Ward that crowd into Cabot to shop and use services versus driving all the way to Little Rock to shop. Also the school district is the 7th largest in the state with 10.264 students in 2021, which bring in everyone on a daily basis overcrowding the towns small roads. It really needs more shopping, restaurants, stores and businesses because everything is too packed full in Cabot.
Cabot does have it's pure bedroom places, like the Greystone Country Club which is the only true hilly part of the city. The rest of Cabot is nearly as flat a pancake covered with trees and fields and swampy soils.
This reviewer is not a native of Cabot, nor a native of Arkansas and has only lived here one year. I will share my reasons to moving to Cabot from the DFW area. Low cost of housing, low property taxes, it is a military community and as veteran easy access to LRAFB and VA healthcare in Little Rock is a big plus. There are other military bedroom communities but in review many I would rank Cabot high on the list because of low housing costs and easy commute times.
