Review of Frisco, Texas

Very overrated city
Star Rating - 4/23/2022
I agree that it’s a very overrated city but it’s done by design. The way they push PGA relocating you would think it was Apple that was moving yet it may bring 100 jobs and 1-2 golf tournaments. The main problem is that Frisco has no identity and tries to copy the good of every city. The Mayor admitted he wanted high rises once he saw them across the street in Plano. They want to outperform Dallas when it comes to sports and duplicate McKinney’s historic downtown but have nothing unique to show. This has led to so many chains move to the city due to insane tax breaks which is causing the once small feeling relax city to become crazy busy and hectic and ok to visit but not a place to call home.

To each his own. I live in Frisco and it is home to multiple corporations, families, one of the BEST school districts in the state, affordable housing (although it is now getting more expensive), tons of activities for kids and families, and active chamber of commerce, a full fledged responsible city govt and public services, plethora of medical clinica and professionals, new roads, and public parks. I dont see Vancouver, WA (copycat name of the more well-known Vancouver, Canada), Fresno, CA, Chicago, IL, NYC, Miami, FL or some random suburb in Ohio or California with the same metrics. Frisco is on the map and here to stay.
