Elmore county does have a significant history, more so than I thought when I moved here last year.
While the scenery is beautiful, it has a few drawbacks. The trouble in Montgomery is migrating into this country. The problems with Elmore can be fixed easily if you know what you’re doing. Having a criminal justice background there are things going on that I’ve noticed. Whether the people aren’t paying attention or they simply don’t care is debatable and highly suspicious. Between the “old money” and some, and I can’t stress this enough, but not all officials are more concerned with lining pockets, than they are about their county and residents as a whole. The Mental Health Services that are available are severely lacking. The Schools as a whole in Elmore being ran by an overly ambitious, pompous…man
Has no empathy for the children under his watch.
Ignores a lot of parents when there’s a genuine concern regarding the treatment of our children.
I have some ideas and regardless of what I posted, I do like it here, but things need to be addressed, not only for the community as a whole, but also our children who are the future of, not just the county, but also our country. Pride, prejudice, greed, corruption, and just plain selfish behavior of this generation as a whole will cripple the next.
Let’s lace up our steel toe boots, grab an energy drink, take a midnight walk and truly look around you. From what the majority have told me, things are rapidly deteriorating and the people who truly care for this county are suffering. First edition millennials like me, I implore you to take some time to think and remember how we grew up. Now compare that to our children’s lives. We not only have the capability, but the responsibility to set our children up for success. I will reiterate, there is so much beauty in this state, but the issues at hand can and will hinder our children’s development and their future unless we come together as a community, as a family if not by blood than by bond, and work together. I may be a Yankee but this is my new home and just want what is best for everyone as a whole.
