Living In Oak Lawn
I have lived here most of my life. Its a nice town central to shopping,
dining, and the metra train. Its only about a 30 minute drive to
down-town Chicago (not driving in rush hour). The problem is that its
so very congested, and noisy. If you like an urban feel, convenience to
attractions , shopping, and restaurants the Oak Lawn is a great place.
The distance to down-town Chicago is not that far , and can be reached
via public transportation, the metra, or driving.
The governing factions keep it safe with a great police and fire
department. The down-town was just totally re-modeled with new condos,
store fronts, and landscaping. Its a nice clean and safe town, but
has more of a congested Chicago feel.
