I have lived in Edneyville my entire life. I don't know where this site got its information, but this area cannot be compared to Asheville, NC. Asheville has been taken over by free spirit, earthy, granola people. Edneyville is an agricultural community that mainly grows apples and tomatoes. Most native residents of Edneyville are direct decedents of the founding settlers. It is a quiet area, however, you will hear the farmers spraying their crops..and could smell it as well. The people and what all makes up Edneyville is even different from Hendersonville. But please don't compare us to Asheville. It's purely laughable!

Correct. Inbreeding is a major issue in the mountains of western NC. Low IQs, poor school system, heavy drug use, domestic violence and child abuse standard. Produce is tasteless due to clay soil. People are lazy, unethical, and "big Christian" hypocrites. Many on some form of government aid yet voted for Trump and Republicans who are cutting that support off. Typical extreme wealth next to extreme poverty (dirt floor shacks) with usual evergreen privacy buffers between shacks/trailers and expensive homes. No middle class at all.
