Odessa: where toughness builds champions

You need to be a friendly person who likes people, isn't afraid to work hard, and have a strength of character that can handle challenges to make it here. Odessa sits on top of one of the greatest oil and gas reserve in the world, and that has made it a place where fortunes are made but times can be raw and tough for some, going back to the beginning. If you're the adventurous type, you'll do fine. Champions are made here. Here are some things we don't have: forest fires, hurricanes, tornados (maybe every 100 years), earthquakes (except the little ones that go with oil drilling), floods (occasionally a little one), and severe cold weather that goes on for days. It's a place made for the friendly, the daring, and those who like contests of skill.
