What to do there

Delta is a lovely farming community. People are nice and there is a wonderful state of the art community center (BHRC) that has excellent health and fitness equipment. Therapy pools etc. If your young and require the night life, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you have a young family and love the rural community atmosphere, vegetable gardening and other slower life activities, this is a great little town. Montrose, 30 miles and minutes to the S. or Grand Junction, 45 miles and min. to the north provide all the other things you might need. It could be called a bedroom community with people driving to Montrose or GJ for work. Yes, there is a Wal-Mart, yard sales etc., but doesn't every place have those? I spend several months a year there and can't wait to get back.
