I've lived here for 10 years now, longer than I thought I would. I also thought I was moving to Minot when I moved to this state. My husband got settled here a few months before the rest of the family, because his mom and other relatives live here. Anyway, I like it. Reminds me of the small gold rush towns in the state where I used to live, without the gold, of course, lol. The "history" in historical places is a bit more recent, but in the western part of ND, they do have ancient Native American hieroglyphics on a rock, which is cool. I don't think I'll stay here forever and I could do without the winter weather, but after getting used to a Midwestern small town lifestyle, it's not bad.
