Education - Hyper test prep focused. Kids primaril - 2/18/2016
Thank goodness for the charter schools cropping up all over Katy! Katy isd has an enormous problem! Hyper test prep culture. Its not a priority to actually learn to assimilate & synthesize info in an inquiry-project based manner. Katy ISD does have est. 57 schools so the culture varies per school. Starr test scores should be low on your school choice priority list. In Katy Learning gaps are commom from 1st-2nd grade and 2nd-3rd grade. And so on if you don't stay on top of the teachers. Homework is just busy work! It does show you what your child dpes not know which is alarming. Roller coaster grades are indicative of fuzzy teaching methods, lack of teacher experience, class distractions, surprise DLA, benchmark or any other test the school decides to include in each 9 week average. 60% of the material the kids are tested on they have not yet taught.
