Winter brings magnificent aurora displays and extended periods of darkness and cold temperatures that can reach -50 degrees Fahrenheit. With no roads leading into or out of the village, transportation often occurs by airplane or snowmobile. Life there is simpler than most places and yet filled with adventure tucked away in its remote corner of Alaska.
