Biddeford is a city located between Portland and Saco in the southern part of Maine. It has a population of approximately 21,000 residents and is situated along the Gulf of Maine. The town was founded in 1630 by Abraham Preble and later incorporated in 1762. Biddeford offers access to several beaches, shopping centers, the University of New England, local parks and the Downtown Industrial Historic District where it was an economic center for textiles until 1950s.
